We are proud to announce that our new Miko Edge Protector SR has been tested and approved by Dekra Automobil Gmbh in Germany.

The product has been developed the past few years, and now modified for even stronger construction. The transfer coefficient (K) for product is tested to k >1.8 which certain markets require for safe and reliable transport. Miko Plast is with this in good position to reach new markets, serve the leading paper mills across Europe, and increase in production capacity during spring based on forecast demand

New Sales Manager for Europe - Mattias Fogel

Miko Plast is growing! Our edge protectors and core plugs are today supplied throughout all of Europe. This is a market with high demands in terms of quality and capacity. We have therefore employed Mattias Fogel as Sales Manager for Europe. Mattias has experience in sales from jewellery business, health care and sales manager for Hammarplast AS. Now he makes a happy return to plasticindustry and joins our team at Miko Plast AS.

I 1989 startet Miko å levere hylseplugger til papirbransjen i Norge. I dag har Miko Plast et egenutviklet komplett program for transportsikring av papirruller.

Our edge protectors and core plugs are today supplied to several of the large paper producers in Europe. For transportation of paper rolls up to 3 tonns, it is obvious that a breakage in these products would be critical. We have therefore developed our products to withstand extreme stress, and test all parts ourselves to ensure quality and obtain certification of products where necessary. We export annually 400 tonns of Products, all made of recycled material.

Miko liefert seit 1989 Hülsenstopfen an die norwegische Papierindustrie. Heute verfügt Miko Plast über ein komplettes eigenentwickeltes Programm zur Transportsicherung von Papierrollen. Miko Plast liefert Kantenschutz und Hülsenstopfen an die grössten Papierproduzenten in ganz Europa. Da unsere Kantenschutz und unsere Hülsenstopfen für Papierrollen bis zu einem Gewicht von drei Tonnen benutzt werden können, legen wir selbstverständlich grossen Wert auf Stabilität. Wir haben deshalb unsere Produkte dahingehend entwickelt, dass sie extreme Belastungen aushalten können. Wir testen alle Teile selbst und zwar mit Testanforderung, welche weit über den gewöhnlichen Anforderungen liegen und haben dafür die entsprechenden Zertifikate. Wir exportieren jährlich 400 Tonnen Transportsicherungsprodukte, alle aus Recycling Material.


Miko Edge Protector HD, DEKRA certified!

Miko Plast AS has for years provided its proprietary edge protector to the Paper industry in Europe.

This is a specially designed edge protector for paper rolls, but also used for square packages. There are large forces absorbed by the product, also insevere cold, which is a challenge. As the product is part of cargo securing of paper rolls up to 3 tons, it goes without saying that a break in the product will be critical. Miko Plast AS developed its edge protector to withstand these stresses and since 2009 has had great success with the product and delivered to Norway, Sweden, Finland, England and Belgium.For sales of equipment for load securing in Germany, the product must be approved for such use by public authorities.
Certification is done by DEKRA Automobil GmbH in Germany.

Testing was carried out through a series of tests: Friction coefficient,practical use and strength in the cold. The test was a success on all counts.
